Clouds are my bane! I worked on those for soooo long! I was looking at this superawesome tutorial: [link] but I still couldn't quite make them look the same.... I'm satisfied enough with how these turned out though. And it was good practice. I also looked at a lot of *GENZOMAN's work for inspiration. I am on a mission to teach myself good backgrounds! ... dood... my stomach just roared. Like a lion. lolwhut So and yeah. Dusky dolphin (sort of) aaand... when I think "dolphin" I think immense strength. They're like solid muscle. So that's what I tried to portray with her humany half, arms tensing up to help her jump high in the air. (I know in the WIP everybody seemed to like her pink hair, but it was a modifying layer and was already colored reddish at the time. Please forgive!) WHY DO I DRAW SO MANY MERMAIDS ~~D8 Edit: Teh splashes were wonky, they are now fixed. Daily DeviationGiven 2008-01-30I'm more than happy to feature 'Dusky Dolphingirl finished' not only because the art is wonderful, and not only because ~solipherus has an amazing gallery you should check and enjoy... in fact, I'm more than pleased to promote the not-so-usual kinds of anthropomorphic creatures, and I think this is the second chance I have to feature a sea anthro since I became a GD... We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
