Hi everyone, I'd like to introduce you to one of my favorite sequential art teachers. (Which is saying something. The SCAD Sequential Art professors were art gods. Their talent infectious, inspiration astounding.) And the founder of SCAD's Sequential Art program: Bob Pendarvis.
Bob was key in my getting the Sea Princess Azuri book deal.
He was the one who spoke to the editors on my behalf when they were waffling over the fact I was still a student. And he gave me the support I needed after I began. Art critiques, pep talks, you name it.
So to say that he cares about his students and their success, well, that's an understatement.
And he's a champion of getting women into the comics industry. Bob worked hard to make sure his classes and the entire Sequential Art major was female-friendly. (And this was back in the day before manga became popular. Imagine the difficulties.) He's helped place soooo many girls into successful art careers.
He's not teaching anymore (alas!), instead he's working on his own graphic novels: A Girl Called Ana Teaches Kittens How to Draw.
These are for young girls, aimed at teaching not just the basics of art and how to draw comics, but that it's absolutely okay and awesome for girls to like comics too, with a lot of fun adventures inbetween.
It's totally cute, I can't wait to see it in print. That's why I'm donating a color commission to his Kickstarter Rewards list.

Smut Peddler!!!!
HUZZAH!
The Smut Peddler Kickstarter is launched!
And I'm in it!
That banner directly under the video? That's from my entry! ^__________________^
As the title suggests, it is a comic for adults. Specifically it is completely pro-women, which was the number one thing that drew me to this project in the first place. Adult comics by women for women? Every creative team must have at least one female? Heck yes, sign me up!
"But Erica, I thought you drew stuff for kids? What gives?!" Haha well, few might know this, but I used to do commissions of the NSFW nature at conventions long before Sea Princess Azuri came out. It was fun.

First post of 2012! PSP tubes!
Hi everyone! How are you?
I'm extraordinarily happy to announce I'm going to have PSP tubes of my art for sale once again!!
The lovely folks over at The PSP Project have hooked me up.
I spent literally all weekend digging through 100+ discs, pulling all the layered photoshop files out. (Sure it was fun to name important folders things like YEARG8 when I was a teenager, but now I can't remember what the heck YEARG means! Or what the first 1 - 7 YEARG's contain. Thanks teenage self. Uff, boring ordinary folder names for me from now on!)
... Oh alright, I didn't have to open every SINGLE one of the 100 discs. But it was certainly a few spool

I was ready some of your fan comments further down and was asking myself some of the same questions they are asking you lol. I do miss not having the full story on Azuri, I wanted to see how things went for her and thalo. Also are you thinking about doing anymore comics? Faeries seem to be your thing now, it would be totally awesome if a decent fairy manga came out lol.
Hi there. Thanks for your comment!
As for Thalo and Azuri, I had wanted to do a sort of reverse-Little-Mermaid story with them, with the secret coral ladythings sending nasties after him and Azuri having to go find and rescue him; meanwhile po

Alas if only I had the money to spare. but then I'm already lucky enough to have a couple pieces from you, one of which is from way back when in our high school days.
